Sleeping bag

Today I finished this cute little sleeping bag for my youngest son Jurrit. He's 1 month old. We live in an old house and last winter it was very cold in our bedroom. Jurrit sleeps in his own bed in our bedroom. With this sleeping bag he will be nice and warm this winter.
The outside of the sleeping bag is made of a beige sweater fabric. The lining of the sleeping bag is made of a soft flanel fabric in an offwhite colour. The length of the sleeping bag is approximately 70 cm.

Baby Wrap

Originally I made this baby wrap for a friend of mine. But I failed to deliver the present to her in time. Her baby has become a toddler, so the wrap didn't fit anymore. In the meantime I was pregnant of my younghest son Jurrit. So I can now use it for him.
The outside of the wrap is a fleece fabric. The inside of the wrap is a blue cotton fabric with white dots. The seams are finished with an offwhite cotton piping. The wrap closes with velcro strips.
The pattern for this wrap comes from Knippie. The wrap is suitable for babies that wear up to size 62.

Oilily Fabric Jeans

Some years ago my husband bought this fabric for me at the Oilily outlet store in Alkmaar. I immediately sewed a jeans for myself. From the leftover fabric I made a jeans for my son Jelle.
The grey wavy fabric simply askes for a layout of the pattern pieces in different directtions of the grain. All seams are sewn with lime coloured yarn.
The pattern was made in size 98 and comes from the Dutch magazine "Knippie". The jeans has frontpockets that run all the way down to the seams at the bottom of the jeans. The front pockets are decorated with triangular shaped stitches. The rectangular shaped backpockets have a flap that close with a snap fastener. The jeans has a fake zipper and elastic in the waiste band.

Bermuda

Becauseof a pregnancy and the breakdown of my overlockmachine, I didn't feel like sewing very much the past few months. There were about two or three things I made. These bermuda trousers were one of them.
The pattern comes from "Ottobre" nr. 3, 2010 and were made in size 98. The pattern is pretty simple, but the front pockets make it special. The lining of the front pockets comes out in front of the trousers as a red piping. The checkered fabric is a very soft cotton fabric which I found in my private fabric stock. All seams are stitched with white yarn. The pattern pieces for the backpockets are laid at an angle on the fabric. This makes the simple pattern even more special.

Salopette Jeans

Last winter I made these lovely salopette jeans for my son Jelle. The salopette is a size 98 and is made out of a supple jeans fabric. The pockets and the underside of the jeans are finished with a white dotted turquoise cotton fabric. The lining of the salopette is also made out of the white dotted turqoise fabric. All seams are stitched with white yarn. The salopette has some nice details, like the seams in the pockets. The side pockets are half stitched onto the trousers and half stitched into the seams.
