Jelle complained that he didn't have a summer jacket. So I decided to make a Jeans Jacket. The pattern for the jacket comes from Knippie and was made in size 116. The Jeans Jacket closes with snap fasteners. Also the sleeves and the flaps on the front pockets close with snap fasteners. All horizontal seams are stitched with dark red and light red coloured yarn. All vertical seams are stitched with dark blue and denim coloured yarn.

Todler 3/4 Skater Jeans
This summer, I made these cute todler bermuda Jeans. The pattern comes from Ottobre Magazine nr. 3, 2008 and was made in size 80. I used some leftover Jeans fabric for the bermuda. I also used some leftover grey and white checkered cotton fabric for the pockets and waisteband. From this checkered fabric I also made a small label which was sewn into the seam of one of the legs of the bermuda. Most of the seams are stitched with an offwhite coloured yarn. Some others are stitched with a dark blue coloured yarn that matches the colour of the Jeans fabric.

Epilator bag
I was on a roll after making the pencil holder and the shopper. So I decided to make a new bag for my epilator. I drew a circle on the inside of the red rosed cotton. I measured the perimeter of the circle and cut a rectangular piece of the same red rosed cotton. I closed the rectangle and sewed it onto the circle. Now I only had to sew two small button holes on the top of the bag and make a seam. I re-used the cord of the original epilator bag.

Shopper
For my voluntary job at school I always have to carry lot's of lunch boxes and drinking cups to school. To carry everything around I had a very big shopper bag. Unfortunately one of the handles was torn off. So I decided to make a new big shopping bag that can hold 4 lunch boxes, 4 drinking cups and some other occasional stuff that I have to carry. This is the result.
The bag is made of the leftover canvas fabric from the diaper bag. I also used some leftover checkered green and white cotton fabric from the winter overall.
Pencil holder
Jorn and I made this cool pencil holder for school. Together we browsed through my collection of applications and other sewing accessories. He chose a black and white checkered cotton fabric and a small leftover piece of black Jeans fabric. Together with the red train, the red 8 and his name tag there can be no misunderstanding as tho whom the pencil holder belongs. De pencil holder closes with a light blue zipper. All together Jorn owns a unique pencil holder.

Seal sleeping bag
I made this very cute and warm seal sleeping bag. When temperatures drop below zero and you have no insulation, the nights can be very cold. But with this sleeping bag Jurrit stays nice and warm. This pattern comes from Ottobre Magazine nr. 6 2012.
The outside fabric of the sleeping bag is a woolen fabric. The inside of the sleeping bag is lined with a dark grey cotton tricot fabric. Between the layers of wool and tricot there is an extra layer of polyester fiberfill. The flippers of the seal are made of some leftover offwhite cotton flannel fabric.
The sleeping bag closes with two zippers. Even when the little one is allready asleep, you can still put him or her easily in the sleeping bag. The hood keeps babies head nice and warm, even when you take him outside for a ride in his stroller.

Winter overall
In february 2012 the weather was extremeley cold. I made some winter overalls for my youghest son Jurrit. This it my latest creation. The outside is made of a turquoise corduroy fabric. The inside of the overall is a cotton fabric with green and white squares. As you may notice I just LOVE these kinds of fabric. I often use them as a lining fabric. To make it extra warm, the overall is lined with an extra layer of polyester fiberfill. The arm and leg holes are finished with a tricot collar fabric. The overall closes with a zipper. I even thought of the loop in the neck this time. Now I can hang it on the hallstand.

Diaper bag
At the start of 2012 I finally had the time to make a diaper bag. Although my son's allready was 1,5 years old I still wanted to make the diaper bag. I bought the cotton canvas fabric at IKEA. The inside of the bag is a black cotton fabric. The diaper bag is very convenient since it has many different
compartments. The inside of the bag has 6 compartments. At both sides,
on the outside of the bag, there are another 2 compartments.
The pattern comes from Amy Butler's book that my sister-in-law owns. In Dutch it's called: "Kleding en knuffels voor de kleintjes". The original pattern resulted in an open diaper bag. My sister-in-law allready made the diaper bag and decided that an open diaper bag is not very convenient. So I decided tot make a closed diaper bad. My diaper bag closes with a zipper that runs all arount the top of the bag. The changing mat is also an extra accessory that was not included in the pattern. But since I had some leftover fabric I decided that a matching changing mat would be handy as well.
